COACHING WITH ANNA
Virtual and face to face executive coaching
Hi, I’m Anna, an independent executive coach. I worked in communication, people management and leadership roles for big global companies ahead of starting Jester Consulting in 2013. Now I enjoy coaching nationally and internationally, working with a range of managers, directors and business leaders across a variety of different organisations, in terms of both size and sector.
Although I’m now based in Warwickshire, I’m originally from Surrey and worked in Birmingham for ten years – this means I coach people (both face to face and virtually) all over the country.
I’m a big believer that human connection trumps all, effective communication behaviours form the foundation of everything else that follows and how we make people feel is first and foremost. This understanding forms the basis of everything I do, my coaching approach and the way in which we would work together.
My coaching approach
Facilitation for one
My coaching approach
I think the best description of coaching is facilitation for one. My role as a coach is not to tell you what to do – it’s to facilitate your thinking, at a deep level, and unlock your own resourcefulness. This is because the best solution to meet our own challenges is usually the one we discover within ourselves.
The foundation of my coaching approach is sustainable change in action. It’s about thinking differently and doing differently too. We’ll talk strategy (the thinking differently bit) but where the magic happens is translating that strategy into practical, achievable steps, that will deliver real change (the doing differently bit).
As a client, you bring knowledge of your role and the business or industry you are in. As your coach, I bring my knowledge of coaching and together, we work in partnership to make progress in the areas you have identified for support. Where you are facing a particular challenge, or are looking to develop in an area where I have expertise (for example, leadership, people management or communication), I can offer a more blended approach of coaching and mentoring.
How I work
This is wholly based on what your needs are and how you want to work. I see some clients every fortnight, others once a month and some prefer every six to eight weeks. It all depends on your needs and I’m happy to work in a way that suits you.
I deliver sessions face to face (either in my coaching hub in Kenilworth or at a location to suit you) or virtually (via Google Hangout, Skype, Webex, Zoom or a different platform of your choice or over the phone). If a particular challenge crops up, or if you feel like a ten minute sounding board would help you between sessions, you can just pick up the phone.
There’s no minimum amount of time or number of sessions you need to commit to for my services. I have some frequent, long term clients, some project based clients and some ad hoc clients who call me when they need me – and that’s just the way I like it.
